Meetings are one of the key events of our congregational life, but we don’t always know how to make them as effective and efficient as they could be. In this webinar, we look at how to do that: how to question our assumptions, include everyone, and choose how we decide. Both Robert’s Rules and consensus are explained and contrasted with each other.

The purpose of this webinar is to help new presidents get ready for a productive year. Experience shows that a relatively small investment of time in advance of what is for many congregations the fall start of the church year, can make a big difference. We’ll review some simple basics for ways an incoming president can make the year more productive and even enjoyable for the board and the whole leadership.

Ian works with local congregations individually and in groups to assist in planning, resource evaluation, organizational development, and program implementation. He coaches leaders, and works with district committees and partners with other organizations to bring excellence in programming to Central Midwest District.
